Frequently asked questions

What does a typical session look like?

There is no typical session. As therapy or coaching progresses, we establish a therapeutic relationship where we work towards meeting  your goals.

Do you take insurance?

While I don't accept insurance, I am more than happy to work out an affordable plan if there are financial concerns.

Do you offer both in-person and online sessions?

I offer both on-line and in-person sessions. I have found that most of my clients, in fact, prefer online sessions as they provide the flexibility that they are looking for in their busy day-to-day lives. I am available online through video conferencing or in-person at my Rockville office located right next to the Twinbrook Metro.

Does everything said in therapy remain confidential?

Confidentiality is the foundation of a therapeutic relationship as it creates a framework of trust between client and therapist. There are situations where the client may request that information be shared with other healthcare providers, which is done only with written consent. The only time that a therapist is required by law to share information is when there is suspected past or present abuse of children, adults or the elderly, or when there is reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or others.
